It’s Tricky…Tr-tr-tr-tricky (Tricky) Trrrrrrrrrrricky

This is a continuation of my last post about our calf with a broken leg.
To briefly recap & get to why I mentioned homophones —
Twin calves were born on the farm this past spring. A male and a female. The male calf got stepped on. His leg was broken.
Daughter No. 3 adopted this calf and cared for him.
One day, Daughter No. 3 came to Husband and told him,
I named my calf Big Mac(k).
Husband and I envision two entirely different things when we hear Big Mac(k).
Me — the McDonald’s hamburger
Husband — the truck
Trip to McDonald’s & Introduction to Homophones
I took the girls to McDonald’s and bought one of those Dinner Box meals.
I started naming what was there.
Two regular cheeseburgers, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, four small fries, and finally two Big Macs.
Daughter No. 3 stopped me —
Wait!! Big Mac(k) is a what?!
She had no idea that she had named her calf after a popular beef sandwich.
We all had a good laugh and ate our processed food products of questionable origin.
I will ask Daughter No. 3 how to spell her calf’s name when she gets home and update.
