Ingredients of Momi Scones

  1. Prepare of Flour.
  2. You need of Castor sugar.
  3. You need of Baking powder.
  4. You need of Baking soda.
  5. Prepare of Salt.
  6. You need of Butter.
  7. It’s of Sweet malted barley powder / horlick.
  8. Prepare of Buttermilk.
  9. It’s of Egg.
  10. You need of Vanilla extract.
  11. It’s of Buttermilk Sub.
  12. You need of Lemon juice / Vinegar – Let them stand for 5 minutes.
  13. Prepare of Fresh milk.

Momi Scones instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, place the flour then add in the baking soda, cream of tartar and sugar. Simply mix them then add in the butter and shortening then rub them to mix before you add in the buttermilk or milk with lemon juice/vinegar.
  2. Knead them few minutes to turn them into a soft dough. Roll them into about 4cm and take a round cutter, soak the cutterr in the flour then cut them into few pieces.
  3. Arrange in the oven tray, brush with an egg wash and bake at 190 for 10-12 minutes.
